The Austrian motorcycles brand KTM, formal name Kronreif & Trunkenpolz Mattighofen, is a pioneer in manufacturing off-road and street motorcycles but has earned frame by manufacturing dirt bikes. KTM is now determined to make a big statement worldwide and in India with the launch of its super bike the KTM RC8.
Bajaj KTM RC8 The KTM RC8 started out as a 999cc V2, and then it became a 990cc V4. Later, KTM trashed these versions and created a brand new V75 1148cc twin from scratch in a little over 2 years time. The KTM’s first ever superbike is not just light-weighted but is also very powerful. The KTM RC8 frame is made out of chrome molybdenum steel and the swing arm is made of anodized cast and sheet metal. The RC8 is an extremely responsive and an easy to ride bike with very accommodating ergonomics. This bike is adorned with adjustable rear sub frame which alter the seat height by almost one whole inch, enabling the riders to keep both feet planted when the bike stops. Furhter, its adjustable foot pegs provide a relatively greater scope of alteration than any other sport bike. Being a very well-balanced, and firmly grounded bike with superb ergonomics, the bike can take your shape and feels very slim and light between the legs. It features confidence infusing brakes, a great gearshift action and butter like smooth clutch engagement. It also provides you with an adjustable clutch, brake and rear brake pedal. Being a comfortable bike with light controls and a very effective brake mechanism, it gives you a conveniently sporty posture. The RC8's extremely bold styling sets it apart from the crowd. The KTM RC8 bike comes in 2 colors: the traditional KTM orange and a black and white version. To be released in the Indian market via Bajaj in early 2011, the KTM RC8 is expected to carry a price tag of about Rs. 16 lacs. It's a hard-core sport bike meant only for die hard riding fans.
